Second: Egypt

If you like ancient history or the monuments that were built in those days, you would go to Egypt. It's a land of deserts, pyramids, temples, tombs and pharaohs.

History

Ancient Egypt was a civilization in northeastern Africa that developed around the middle and lower Nile River, in territory now occupied by the current state of Egypt. The civilization began in the 3150 BC with the unification of Upper and Lower Egypt under the first pharaoh, and was developed during the next three millennium.The civilization of ancient Egypt prospered by adapting to the conditions of the valley of the River Nile. The ancient Egyptians control the irrigation of a fertile valley produced surplus crops, which promote a social and cultural development.

Egyptian writing came from a linguistic source, was very different to ours, complex in its base and carrier of many signs.

Hieroglyphic writing is based on a mixed system remained ideographic phonetic form unchanged for 3500 years.

According to Egyptian mythology, Thoth was the god who invented writing.
